Frequently Asked Questions

Will these CBD Hemp products get me high?

No. Our products are made with Hemp-derived CBD. Hemp contains virtually no THC (less than .3%). CBD is non-psychotropic, which means it may affect the brain receptors (supporting anxiety, depression, PTSD), but will not produce a “high.” In contrast, research has shown that CBD, or cannabidiol, increases focus and contributes to a “grounding” effect. That said, if you purchase CBD from a dispensary, you will get more than .3% THC and it may get you “high.” Green Alley’s products cannot be sold at a dispensary, and Green Alley, by law cannot sell dispensary CBD.

What is the difference between CBD Hemp and CBD Marijuana?

CBD Hemp has less than .3% THC in the product. CBD marijuana has more than .3% THC. CBD Hemp cannot get you high, whereas CBD marijuana can get patients “high” or dizzy. CBD Hemp is now considered a Dietary Supplement, meaning it can be sold online and in stores. There is very little regulation in the supplement marketplace. CBD marijuana must be purchased at a dispensary because it contains THC. Green Alley only offers CBD Hemp products – all organic CBD with no added chemicals or solvents in the growing or extraction processes.

Why does CBD work?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is very similar to a CBD-like molecule that we already produce in our bodies. The Endocannabinoid System produces these cannabinoids (CBD & THC) and has targets or “receptors” in all organs, the immune system and the reproductive system. It is the most pervasive regulatory system in the body and modulates, regulates and balances all other systems. The ECS controls our nervous system, lymphatics (detoxification) and endocrine system (hormones) to name just a few. The cannabinoids from the plant act on these receptors to affect balance just as the CBD-like molecules do. Here at Green Alley, we have found that we can help most patients successfully without THC.

Do you need THC to “activate” CBD?

No. CBD is the master regulator in the Endocannabinoid System. Research has shown that CBD from the plant helps to slow down the body’s processing of its own THC (anandamide). Anandamide is used to “help” CBD if it is needed. Research also shows that it is CBD that turns on or off almost 2000 gene expressions, whereas THC only 50. Here at Green Alley we have been able to help hundreds of clients successfully without THC.
